Clarification
On 1 July 2026, we published the second clarification to version 3.0 of the code to help project developers and validation and verification bodies interpret the standard.
Clarifications to the standard are very minor. We have also updated guidance and template documents:
- Survey protocol
- Year 15+ monitoring report
Clarifications should be read alongside version 3.0 and are effective from today, Wednesday 1 July. One update also applies to a previous version of the code.
Code transition period ends
1 July 2026 is also the end of the transition period from v2.2 to v3.0 of the Code. Projects submitted from 1 July 2026 have to submit under v3.0 of the Code.
Annual cashflow update
We also published our annual update to the cashflow.
The cashflow v3.1 contains updated cost and income data and quality-of-life improvements.
There is a one-year transition between cashflow versions, so projects with implementation dates between 1 July 2026 and 30 June 2027 will be able to use either v3.0 or v3.1 of the cashflow when submitting for validation.
