Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation on Version 3 of the Woodland Carbon Code. We’ve reviewed your feedback and are using it to shape the final update.
To allow time to incorporate your suggestions and complete the UKAS review process, we’re now planning to publish Version 3 of the code - along with a full consultation report - on Friday 1 August 2025.
From that date, you can begin using Version 3. Projects already in development can continue to submit for validation or verification using Version 2.2 until 30 June 2026, giving an 11-month transition period.
